Silver Raven Festival announces 2017 lineup

Boutique Americana festival Silver Raven Festival returns to Turkey Flat Vineyards this April with an impressive line-up of international artists and food and wine experiences.

After debuting last year with headliner Jason Isbell, Silver Raven will hit Turkey Flat Vineyards on Saturday, April 22 with Timothy Showalter’s acclaimed project Strand of Oaks (pictured) the major musical attraction. The ensemble responsible for the modern sombre folk country classic HAUL will be joined by fellow Americans Sonny & the Sunset and alt.country favourite Jonny Fritz. Also on the bill are Melbourne’s Henry Wagons and Jen Cloher and Adelaide’s The San Sebastian and Wanderers.

“The stunning success of our inaugural event, including a finalist position in the coveted SA Music Awards, attests that regional events such as this are the key to reinvigorating the spirit of music events in South Australia,” Silver Raven director Alex Schulz said in a press release.

The gastronomic experience will be expanded from last year’s inaugural event with barbecue (Are You Game?) vegetarian (Forage Supply Co), Mexican(TacoCat), coffee (Little Blue Van) and sweet treats (Barossa Valley Ice-cream Company) on offer, while Turkey Flat and Pirate Life will be responsible for the booze.

Silver Raven Festival tickets start at $89 and are available at OzTix.
