Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band will return to Australia and New Zealand for their Summer ’17 tour kicking off in January.
The nine-date stadium tour will begin in Perth on Wednesday, January 25 before heading to Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Monday, January 30. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band brought the award winning Wrecking Ball tour to Australia in 2014, selling out a series of shows including two nights in Adelaide, the first time the Boss played in the city. Currently the top touring global act (according to Billboard and Pollstar) having sold almost two-million tickets in 2016 alone, the band will be joined by Australian musicians Diesel and JET in a few selected cities. Diesel has recently released his 15th studio album Americana, a tribute to some of America’s most legendary tracks including Springsteen’s Born to Run. To coincide with the tour announcement, Springsteen is set to release his autobiography Born to Run and its audio companion Chapter and Verse on September 27. The 500-page autobiography promises a glimpse behind the scenes of his extraordinary life in music and the public eye. Chapter and Verse features 18 tracks from The Boss’ 40-year career, including five previously unreleased songs.
