Stringy Bark and Other Stories
May 4 - 3:00 PM - Jul 14 - 3:00 PM
‘Stringy Bark and Other Stories’ is an exhibition resulting from a dedicated arts project, producing works by emerging and established Aboriginal Artists residing in South Australia and Indigenous school children from McLaren Vale Primary School and kindergarten.
The works produced are in response to and inspired by, the Stringy Bark tree, found predominantly throughout the Fleurieu Peninsula and SA region, a significant tree with many uses for Kaurna and Aboriginal people living in SA. Large laser cut timber leaves form the artworks and exceed 180cm.
