Off to the races: UBET Adelaide Cup has more in store for 2018

UBET Adelaide Cup returns in 2018, and outside all the fun and frivolity of a day at the races, there’s plenty of generous enjoyment to be had at the glitzy event on Monday, March 12.

As ever, Adelaide Cup Day will see punters and pleasure-seekers don their Sunday best for some Monday madness. Adelaide’s finest will visit Morphettville Racecourse primped and primed for a day of glamour, indulgence and trying their luck.

Outside of a flutter on the ponies, there’s a wide variety of experiences to be had too. A range of tailor-made hospitality experiences will add another level of fun to race day. At the most affordable is The Starting Gate trackside party, complete with its bars, live music offerings and food.

This year will see the likes of the James Boags Bar, Hentley Farm Wine Bar and Little Creatures Brew House supplying a variety of refreshing beverages, while punters can expect to enjoy scrumptious food from eateries such as Pizzateca, Fat Fork and Caro Club. Tickets for The Starting Gate can be picked up for $35 each, and include a drink voucher and food voucher.

A brand new addition to this year’s Cup experience is a high-flying Ferris wheel with free admission. Time a turn on the wheel correctly, and you might just get yourself a spectacular aerial view of the heart-stopping race.

Fashion is, as ever, a big part of a day at Adelaide’s biggest race meeting, and 2018 will be no different. The Fashions on the Field competition will see the day’s snazziest attendee strut away with $1000 cash prize, a Rado Coupole Women’s Watch valued at $1600, a discovery package for two at Hentley Farm Restaurant and a magnum of Beauty Shiraz, among other prizes.

There are also some seriously tempting deluxe hospitality packages on offer at the 2018 UBET Adelaide Cup, including fully catered lunches and drinks packages.

One such luxurious option is The Home Straight package, which sees ticketholders hosted on a private balcony overlooking (you guessed it) Morphettville Race Course’s home straight, and served a delectable three-course lunch alongside a generous five-hour drinks package. It’s a chance to dine in style, while enjoying prime position for a view of the race, and the antics of race attendees.
