CheeseFest returns

CheeseFest returns

Australia’s biggest cheese festival, CheeseFest, is returning to Rymill Park in late October.

CheeseFest 2013 will kick off with a twilight launch on Friday, October 25 and will conclude on Sunday, October 27. A record number of cheesemakers will be at this year’s event to take part in demonstrations, talks and, of course, to taste cheese. Joining the cheesemakers will be a range of local restaurants with stalls, as well as South Australian produced wines, ciders and beers.

“We are looking forward to announcing our innovative and creative concepts for the 2013 CheeseFest. Cheese lovers are going to love this year at CheeseFest,” Director and Founder Kris Lloyd said in a press release.

“We are so pleased to have Primary Industries and Regions South Australia (PIRSA) on-board as our major sponsor. CheeseFest is all about premium food and wine from our beautiful clean environment!”

CheeseFest was founded in 2005. Last year it featured 18 cheese stalls, 12 food stalls and 10 beverage stalls with brands including B-d Farm Paris Creek, Island Pure, Woodside Cheese Wrights, Yarra Valley Dairy, Grace the Establishment, Andre’s Cucina and Polenta Bar, Zema Estate and The Hills Cider Company represented.

The program will be released in the coming weeks.
