This little gem is the perfect place when you’re in need of a good coffee while out and about in North Adelaide. Caffeteca is situated in a place that makes you feel as though you’re in a trendy suburban cafe despite the busy street nearby. They use a local boutique coffee roster (D’Angelo Coffee) for their beans and they even offer cold drip coffee for those who want to try something a bit different. I try a single origin bean called Ethiopian Guiji for my espresso, which has a floral aroma with hints of roses. The crema is a golden brown colour. My first sip is quite nutty but the taste of blueberries and a hint of sesame seed come through as I knock it back. The latte is made from a blend called One, which consists of beans from South and Central America. It is served with a rosetta as the latte art and has a strong muesli taste with the first sip, followed by an earthy, silky body with a lingering dark chocolate fi nish. It has a nice mixture of dark brown shades on top which holds the taste of the crema all the way through. Friendly staff and great service complement the divine coffee and food. It has ample indoor and outdoor seating for a small space and the atmosphere makes you feel right at home. Caffeteca 53 Tynte Street, North Adelaide caffeteca.com.au
