Adelaide Street Food Festival

Adelaide Street Food Festival

The second annual Flinders Street Market Street Food Festival will be a perfect chance to relax and unwind during the busy festive season. Held over two full days on Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20, the market will showcase a variety of food trucks and pop-up stalls selling Christmas gifts to give punters the opportunity to pick up some last-minute presents. A large variety of food vendors will feature on the day, including an appearance from celebrity chef Simon Bryant who will be serving up some hawker-style food, as well as Adelaide food stalls and food truck businesses such as Daisy Burger, Pizza Bite, Papitos Pinxtos, Little Budapest, Green Leaves Indian, French Cheese Truck, Babs Greek BBQ, and Kokochi Japanese to name a few. Dessert stalls will include Sucre Patisserie, De La Calle Churros, Yo-Get-It Frozen Yoghurt, CocoaNuts, and Adelaide’s famous Lemonade Cart, while Cabbage Patch Catering, Vegan Eats and Happy Maple will be catering for vegans and vegetarians. Food trucks will be located in the outdoor area, while stalls will be undercover in two large shed areas. The festival will offer a licensed bar and a DJ and buskers. Entry will be free and plenty of on-street parking spaces will be available. The Flinders Street Market is a small community market held weekly in the heart of the city. With its eclectic mix of stalls, the market has something for everyone and offers arts, crafts, food, coffee, chocolate, farm-grown produce, plants, antiques, vintage wares and fashion. It works to facilitate new opportunities for small business while activating city spaces and fostering a sense of community among city dwellers and visitors alike. Its previous themed events have been a hit; so expect a bustling and lively atmosphere at this year’s anticipated Street Food Festival.
