Collins cocktail bar to open this month

Cocktail haunt The Collins Bar is opening this month at the Hilton Adelaide.

Cocktail lovers and spirit connoisseurs are invited to indulge a cocktail menu featuring vintage, signature, bespoke and new school selections, shaken and made with pure cocktail passion. The creative mind behind The Collins Bar is Grant Collins, a man whose experience is kind of a big deal in the mixology world. Collins brings more than 15 years of bar experience including work in Tokyo, London, New York and our own shores, not to mention he has been named one of the ‘World’s Greatest Bartenders’. Needless to say, his CV is very impressive. Collins is excited to open the doors and believes that this is exactly the type of bar Adelaide needs. “We wanted to bring something different and eclectic to the Adelaide night scene, something that the Adelaide public wants but has yet to experience,” Collins said in a press release. “We are going back to old-school bartending and staying true to both the classic and the Collins cocktail era using bespoke vintage glassware and making our own sodas, tonic and mixers.” With Hilton Adelaide recently celebrating 30 years of hospitality, the vibrant new venue will bring a new vibe to the hotel featuring one of the most extensive selections of spirits in Australia. More than 45 gins and 55 bourbons will be at your fingertips, as well as a fantastic selection of scotches and tequilas handpicked from around the globe. The bar’s classy and relaxed atmosphere is perfect for a special night out or even just to catch up with friends; any excuse for a night out right?
