Adelaide Fringe Street Art Explosion

Adelaide Fringe Street Art Explosion

By Adelaide Fringe

Now in its third year, the Street Art Explosion program commissions some of Adelaide’s most promising and established artists to create new public murals and street art installations all across Adelaide city and suburbs.

Painted in the lead-up to the Adelaide Fringe each year, these new artworks will continue to add to the forever burgeoning and flourishing Adelaide public art scene.

Adelaide Fringe’s Street Art Explosion has been responsible for facilitating the creation of 32 public murals across Adelaide, as well as creating a yearly map which catalogues work across Adelaide, and providing self-guided walking map tours of the city to encourage both residents and visitors to explore.

City Streets: Progressive Adelaide 75 Years On

In 1936, Hermann Baring captured the State and its capital in pictures. For all time. Inspired by his work, photographer Mick Bradley and writer Lance Campbell set out in Baring’s footsteps. In images and words, City Streets is progressive Adelaide today. This is a unique book about a unique city. For all time.
