Analogue Missions

Rising from the ground, Analogue Missions acts as a 1:1 scaled scenario of a future city built to engage the user. Taking cues from the field tests undertaken by NASA, it is a playful, yet thought provoking exploration of near-future public space promoting and emphasising human encounters.

The installation questions current practice and strategies for built boundaries and their influence on public space. It looks at how these built boundaries might be disintegrated to re-establish spaces for analogue (face to face) human interactions. Analogue Missions prompts the user to re-engage with familiar surroundings and the people in them in new means through a simple, permeable architecture.
