Illuminations

Update: Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, all City of Adelaide libraries and community centres have closed indefinitely.

To celebrate the Royal visits of 1901, 1920, 1927 and 1954, the City of Adelaide decorated the city with bunting and illuminations, warmly welcoming members of the Royal Family. Illuminations presents a range of photographs from the Historic Photographic and the Lantern Slide Collections; as well as Archival material from the City of Adelaide Archives.

Illuminations is on display at the City Library’s History Hub from 31 January to 26 April 2020.
