Multimedia artist Emma Hack has been exhibiting her distinctive work around Australia since 1999.

Highly prolific and even more intriguing, her work creates a rich visual narrative of magical realism. Regularly exhibiting pieces on canvas and studio-based photography, she’s best know for her idiosyncratic body painting, as showcased in Gotye’s iconic Somebody That I Used to Know video. She recently announced her first solo show in London at Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery, featuring pieces from her new Birds of a Feather collection. She’ll also create a live installation at the Private View for those lucky enough to be in old London town on Wednesday, June 25. Following her London foray, Hack travels to Austria to judge the World Body Painting Festival from Sunday, June 29 to Sunday, July 6. Closer to home, there are still a few days left to check out her pop-up gallery at 124 King William Rd, Hyde Park. Pieces from Birds of a Feather are on preview there until 5pm on Sunday, June 15, when they fly north for the summer.
