Windmill Theatre Co and Umbrella Entertainment have announced that Windmill’s debut motion picture, 2015’s Girl Asleep, will be made available for free online viewing this weekend from Friday 3 April to Sunday 5 April.
Directed by Windmill Theatre Co’s artistic director Rosemary Myers, Girl Asleep adapts Matthew Whittet’s play originally presented by Windmill as part of the 2014 Adelaide Festival. The result is a whimsical, hormone-fuelled blend of Wes Anderson, The Mighty Boosh and Countdown-era Australia – perfectly escapist viewing for a weekend at home.
Girl Asleep is available for viewing from Umbrella Entertainment’s website from 6pm, Friday 3 April until midnight, Sunday 6 April.
