Cabernet Carnival @ Rymill Coonawarra Riddoch Highway, Coonawarra Sunday, October 18 11am-3pm Considered one of South Australia’s top springtime wine festivals, Cabernet Carnival at Rymill Coonawarra is bound to have something for everyone. A wide variety of food vendors, including Los Pinchos Locos, San Jose Spanish Charcuterie and Pizza Project, will be cooking up a storm on the day to enjoy with a glass of Rymill wine amid the relaxed backdrop of live music at the winery. Kids entertainment including a jumping castle and face painting will also be offered on the day. Bookings for large groups and buses appreciated.   The Vale Cru @ The Victory The Victory Hotel, Old Sellicks Hill Rd, Sellicks Hill Sunday, October 18 2pm-5pm Discover more than 50 premium small batch wines from 15 different winemakers with the Vale Cru, a collective of McLaren Vale small batch winemakers. As well as showcasing local wines, the event will feature guest speakers and cocktail food and provide guests with a souvenir wine glass and poster. Tickets are $30 pre-booked, and $40 on the day if not sold out. Official Royal Adelaide Wine Show Dozen Tasting Bull Bar, Adelaide Showgrounds (enter via Leader Street) Sunday, October 18 11am-3pm Experience the best of the best at the Dozen Tasting day, where 12 wines from this year’s Royal Adelaide Wine Show deemed the cream of the crop from over 2000 entries will be showcased to the public. Tasty treats will be available from the Farmers Market on the day, making this an excellent opportunity to celebrate local produce and wine from around South Australia. Free entry.   CHEESEFEST-2013-WEB-539[1]  CheeseFest 2015 Rymill Park/Murlawirrapurka Friday, October 23 t0 Sunday, October 25 2015 marks the 10th year of the annual CheeseFest, and is set to be the biggest one yet. Under the sponsorship of Vale Brewing, visitors will be delighted by three days of cheesy goodness, kicking off with a twilight celebration on Friday night. As well as showcasing a large variety of Australian cheeses, local restaurants and wineries will be offering a broad range of food and beverages in pop-up stalls. Tickets can be booked online.   Shut the Gate — Fins & Fire Shut the Gate Wines, 2 Main North Road, Watervale Sunday, October 25 11am-4pm As a part of the Clare With Fresh Eyre spring program, Shut the Gate Wines will be teaming up with Auburn Smoke House Catering to provide guests with a selection of delicious Eyre Peninsula southern-style smoked seafood. Paired with refreshing Rieslings by Shut the Gate and live music from honky-tonk duo The Reverend and Mrs Rowdy, unwind from your weekend in the Shut the Gate garden and immerse yourself in the atmosphere.
