Pelzer Park / Pityarilla (Park 19) Activity Hub in Adelaide’s South Park Lands, has activated the area by creating a vibrant community precinct, and future proofing this strategic node.

Supported by public engagement, the design encourages community connection with nature and each other and promotes social inclusion. Meeting spaces and active recreational areas are complemented with quiet places for relaxation and a rich variety of play experiences provides for all-abilities and multi-generational interaction.

The enclosed playspace and new ‘wild play’ roaming areas integrate with natural features of the site and offer opportunities for creative play, child development and education.
The Activity Hub also includes a promenade, bridge crossing and plaza space suitable for markets & events, along with toilets, tennis and basketball courts, and dog parks.

The design considers its unique context, respects the history of the site, and proposes a vision for future use of the Park Lands.
