There is nothing quicker and more rewarding than steamed mussels in a flavorsome broth! Bold flavours, plenty of chilli and a decent citrus hit – ticks all my boxes!

NOTE: Always buy fresh mussels. If they’ve started to open up it means they’re dead or dying. The best mussels I find are the ones that are vacuum-sealed. This way of packaging keeps the little guys alive with a bit of seawater sealed inside with them.
