The Sound Of The Street THE SOUND OF THE STREET
There are inspirational musicians and then there is Staff Benda Bilili. This WOMADelaide-bound collective were not only raised on the poverty-stricken streets of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo but most of the band are crippled due to polio. The band’s leader (Ricky Lickabu) tells The Adelaide Review (via a translator) their incredible story.
